D.Light — the solar-powered flashlight

If you didn’t already catch on to the inherent flaw in its name, then give it another read. Yes, this (oxy)moronic invention was invented for rural Indian villages that can’t afford replaceable battery power. But they soon found out it’s only really useful for peeking into dark holes while the sun is shining on the flashlight.
…And that situation happens all the time, naturally.
